So this is my favorite favorite part of sewing elastic back pants! I learned this cool trick for hiding your elastic seams a while ago and just HAD to include it in this pattern as well, cause it's too cool!

30) Ok we will start off a bit easy with RST, pin your front & back pants along the inner leg, starting at one ankle and going all the way through to the other ankle.

I always get super excited when sewing trousers to get to the back part of the pants, mainly because I find it sooooo much easier to tackle, especially when there aren't any pockets! I think you will find that you are going to just whiz on by with this part of the sewalong!

24) With RST, sew your back legs together along the crotch curve. Finish your seams and press towards the left.

Don't mind my plate of brie and crackers- I was in a snacky mood as I was sewing this part up!

Have you got your snack at the ready for today's journey? We are going to tackle the front waistband, which is super challenging, it's just got a few tiny steps.

20) Finish the bottom edge of your waistband. I love using a fun pop of bias tape here as a cheery surprise just for me!

21) With RST, attach your front waistband to the top edge of your pant front.

Alright, we've accomplished some major things so far including prepping your pants AND attaching your pockets to both the left and right sides. I hope you tooted your own horn just a bit!

Today, we are going to be a bit more relaxed and focus on assembling the front pant. There are a few steps, but each is relatively simple!
