This pomegranate red beret was knit entirely by hand right here in Georgia using an organic, cruelty free blend of mohair and silk. It is ultra lightweight and super soft to the touch making it perfect for a cozy fall/ winter ensemble or pairing well with a breezy spring/ summer get up as it won't overheat your scalp. 

This beret has been loosely knitted so that it fits comfortably on the head without any feelings of tightness. It is also super easy to slide a bobby pin or two through the knitted design to help fasten it to your hair so that there is no fear of it ever falling off in a sudden gust of wind!

The original pattern for this beret is Beret #1 by My Favourite Things Knitwear.

From the Knitting for Olive Website:

"Our Mohair comes from angora goats bred in South Africa, and the yarn is also produced locally. Our yarns are traceable back to the individual farms, which means we know exactly which farms, farmers, and goats our wool comes from.

The Silk in our Soft Silk Mohair is cruelty free. The silk fibres are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises are allowed to mature into moths and escape. This means that the silk worms are not killed in the process as they are in conventional silk production."
