Tilly and The Buttons Arielle Skirt
This garment was sewn using the Tilly and the Buttons Arielle Skirt sewing pattern, which you can purchase via the link if you prefer to make your own using this indie sewing pattern!
Fabric used was a fun lilac colored quilting cotton with a bat and spider web spooky print. Buttons are vintage pink plastic with a wavy texture, four of which are a soft pink and one that is a little bit brighter. Entire inner skirt is bound with hand made tencel bias tape.
There is a heavy duty flat black hook and eye hidden closure where the skirt most often gapes while on the body. This closure smooths out the gaping. There is also a set of hidden buttonholes that were closed up next to the buttons as I originally had placed them on the incorrect side of the skirt.
Finished Garment Measurements are:
Waist : 28" (71,1 cm)
Hip: 37" (94 cm)
Length from Waist to Hem : 18" (45,7 cm)
My measurements are:
Height: 5'8" (172,7 cm)
Full Bust : 35" B-Cup (89 cm)
Waist : 28.5" (72,4 cm)
Hip : 38" (96,5 cm)
This pattern has a snug fit with a high waist. There are some areas of slight discoloration from the few times I wore this skirt, but they are very minor and hard to see.
