The Clementine by Forget Me Not

The Clementine by Forget Me Not

Can I just start off by saying that I LOVE the name, Forget Me Not, as it pertains to a pattern company? Anything that references flowers is high in my book!

Full disclosure: I was gifted both the pattern and the fabric I used to make this pattern by two separate companies. There was no requirement for a blog post or review from either upon gifting, they each just wanted to hear my personal feedback from working with the materials. I also hadn't intended to use these two items together, but I am SO...

Fibers to Fabric: My Blockprinted Dress

Fibers to Fabric: My Blockprinted Dress

Recently, I was partially-gifted this incredible block print fabric from Fibers to Fabric. I say partially because I was given a discount for $25 and I wound up purchasing $30 worth of fabric!

I really love block-printed fabric. I have purchased it in the past at shops like Topstitch and I've always really enjoyed the handfeel of the fabric. It's really soft and drapey, but easy to sew like a quilting cotton, which to me is the best of both worlds. And I love the irregularities of the fabric print- it reminds...

Cottesloe + Eucalypt Review

Cottesloe + Eucalypt Review

Spring is here and it seems as if my wardrobe is severely lacking in items, specifically separates. I have plenty of dresses to frolick around in, but as I have been falling deeper and deeper into the separates game, my closet just seems a bit sparse on items that actually coordinate with one another.

So when Megan Nielsen reached out to me to review her two new patterns, The Cottesloe Swimsuit and the re-released Eucalypt Tank/ Dress, I was all about it! I...

The Woodland Dopp Kit

The Woodland Dopp Kit

Creating a Dopp kit has been on my "To-Sew" wishlist for quite some time. I just love their utilitarianism as well as their overall appearance: Simple, clean lines. However,  sewing a dopp kit has always been one of those projects that was a) easy to put off in favor of sewing more clothing and b) a somewhat daunting task for me.

I'm not entirely sure why I have been so timid to create one of these kits as the construction is relatively simple, but I've had the entire process built up in my...

The Jarrah, Dawn, & Wattle

The Jarrah, Dawn, & Wattle

Last month, Megan Nielsen reached out to me to see if I would review some of her new patterns that are coming out today. Seeing that I LOVE her patterns (and after dying a bit from excitement that she would even reach out to me - eeep!), I happily accepted her offer and chose to take on sewing three of her four new patterns: the Jarrah, Dawn, and Wattle. I wanted to take you all through my process with each of them as well as some tips I picked up along the way!
